The Boat of Success

         

      One night I was scrolling down my news feed for some news or information, I suddenly just stop over to watch this mysterious video because I was so curious what this video is all about and what makes it a trending topic on Facebook. The thing is that I think that I remember watching this video when I was in 2nd year or 3rd year. This video came from a simple man named Jay Jaboneta who was very curious about what he had heard about that group of children in the Philippines who swims their path in going to school. He started putting it into his Facebook and set it as his status then one of his friends commented on how he would be able to help those children who suffer a great challenge by just going to school. So, the thing is that he started to create a mini fund racing campaign just to raise some money for them to help those children to buy a boat. They were successful on that but there are some problems regarding on what they really need. Then I began to realize that many people would really do anything for them just to go to school and whatever challenges they may encounter they will face it in order to have a better life and a better future. While some of us have this kind of illness that we do have a lot of things to use for us to go to school yet we are just taking them for granted because of the lack of perseverance to strive for the best in the near future. I was just so happy that there are some people left in this world that acts the same way as Jay Jaboneta does, and I just hope that more people would really follow the path of reaching out to others and help them the best way possible.

Nowadays basketball is one of the most famous sport around the globe. Most likely more people would say that this sport is one of the most appreciated sport for them, yet for me basketball builds friendship, perseverance, teamwork and faith in yourself and to others. 

Basketball is one of the key factor that I am enjoying life to the fullest. It brings a great impact to my life because I really appreciate my father being one of the key players of their team while he is still playing basketball. He give me the urge to focus more on sports than any kind of things that would bring my future into a worst nightmare. Being a sporty kind of person, it gives me the confidence to do all things with great effort and will, by which you could make all things extraordinary. At the age of 11 basketball is one of the sport that i had admired the most because it really gives you the best quality of game that you've been longing for each and every day. In basketball you play as a team, all of you will play hard and would do anything for you to win a game. Basketball is a kind of sport that the letter "I" would not exsist, because when you play basketball or any kind of sport you are playing for your team and not for yourself and it only implies that you should all work together for the team to achieve a win. Sepak Takraw, Football, Badminton, Volleyball and Frisbee are also the kind of sports that I am playing, but I really prefer basketball as the best sport among the rest. I play different kind of sport for me to improve my skills, to build teamwork, friendship, and to increase my endurance and confidence in all things. By engaging into different kinds of sports you can get away from bad temptations in life like drugs and other form of vices that would really destroy your life and your future. One of the things that I am really proud of myself is that I have been able to manage my lifestyle as one of the most prefered lifestyle of any person aroud the world, to engage in any kind of sport, to build friendship and confidence, to build teamwork, to be fit and healthy and most of all it give us the guidance of the Lord our God for he brings us strenght and knowledge to do all things the best way possible.

Love is like a traffic light, there are three colors which becomes a guide for us to know when to Stop, to Let go, and to Take action.

Stop. Loving someone so much doesn't always mean that they’re the right one for us. It’s not always a happy ending when it comes to love because love never ends. Sometimes it’s very awful to think that some people are being blinded by the love and care that a person is showing. As they say, it’s better to accept the fact that we are not being appreciated than to insist yourself to someone who never really see your worth. In every step we take in loving that person, it give us more chance in hurting ourselves because we are afraid of accepting the fact on what would probably happen. It is not that if you truly love the person, that person is really for you. You are just afraid that the person you love the most will not be yours. And I’ll ask you, do that person you love is also afraid to lose you? 

Letting go. Letting go doesn't mean giving up, but rather accepting the fact that there are things that cannot be. There are things that were really meant for us. Maybe some things we wish for in our life are the things we cannot get. We must learn to let go and to move on and get over of the pain we experience in the past. Loving someone is setting them free, letting them go. It hurts? Yes, for you who truly loved. Never say goodbye because goodbye means forgetting. To let go is not to deny but to accept. We don’t have to close our hearts because we never know what comes after every part of our life. 

Take action. When someone breaks your heart, another someone else is waiting to fix it. As we can see in some caution signs in some places “be careful to avoid danger or harm”. We are all afraid to be hurt, we are all afraid to face the truth but we still love. We are afraid to love again. That’s why the word courage is being made. That’s all we need to take action. If the traffic light has a yellow light that says a sign of caution. In love we also have that one; our heart is telling us to be aware of the things we should take part of. Even here in our school, as what I observed when the elevator is really full of people but we really insist ourselves unto it. But there is always stairs were we can go, we just don’t really recognize its presence. So stop, let go and take action. – Traffic Light
